CVS Shopping 6/30/08

Here is this week's CVS Shopping trip. I spent $6.83 for $59.87 in items. I made a miscalculation when I was in the store. I moved an item and its coupon to another transaction and did not account for the coupon moving on my worksheet - so I thought I had another $3.00 off coupon for my last transaction. In the end, I spent a few more dollars than I planned but it was still a good night. If you leave off the milk on the last transaction you will only have a total OOP of around $1.00.

CVS Shopping 6/3/08

This week I am away visiting my family and will be watching my oldest nephew graduate from high school. I did however, stop at CVS yesterday to pick up the Pampers diaper deal. I also got a few of the monthly items. My OOP was $7.60. Which is a little higher than normal because I did not have my computer to print coupons - if I did I would have purchased a few things differently to lower my OOP. All things considered, I am happy with these deals and bought around $86 for $7.60, which is less than the cost of 1 package of diapers!
I started today with 8.69 in ECBs from last week.

See the photo in the previous post for a picture of this week's shopping items.

This is what I got at CVS tonight for free. Thanks CVS. Because of the ECB program I no longer pay for milk. Since we go through 2-3 gallons each week that gives me about $9.00 back in my $50.00/week grocery & household budget for other things.

Actually the only reason I went to CVS tonight was to get the milk. I paid 0 OOP and will receive a 4.69 rebate from Tums also. I love it when they pay you to shop!

Here is my deal: (Starting with 10.00 ECB)

I Sent My Husband to CVS

Okay, so this morning my husband asks about going to CVS to get me a Mother's Day card(s). But doesn't know how "all that" (ECB's etc) works. So I put together a list for him and he is going at lunch today. We'll see how he makes out - I hope he does well so I can send him again! Here is the list I gave him:

3 CVS Brand Liquid Fabric Softeners (3.79 each = 11.37)
2-10 packs of Wrigleys gum (b1g1 = 2.49)
Spend at least 6.14 on cards

Give in this order:
4 off 20 coupon
3 off 15 coupon
3 off 10 cvs brand coupon
2- $1.00 Wrigley's coupons
6.00 gift card

He should only have to pay about 3-4 dollars.

I'm not using any ECB's on this order since it's his card and not the card I usually use. This will not generate any ECB's either but since he was going to spend the $ for cards anyway I figured I work in some free fabric softener and gum. That will help out the grocery/household supplies budget!

UPDATE:
He did great. Got my stuff and spent less than $4.00 OOP! Now I have him hooked! =)

CVS Shopping 5/3/08

Tonight was a great CVS Shopping night. The new May ECB deals are out with some good money makers! I did three transactions and purchased $65.20 of merchandise for 2.57 OOP!!!! Here are my transactions. I forgot to give a coupon on one order so my OOP actually should have been only 1.38. Also, I had several expired CVS brand 3/10 coupons. I had no trouble using them. I actually gave the first one by mistake, and since it went through I decided to try and use the expired ones first!
This how I should have done the orders:

Order #1) --------------------------------------

2 Colgate 360 toothbrushes (3.99 ea)
1 Aquafresh Advantage Toothpaste (2.99)
3 CVS Mouthwashes (Buy 2 get 1 free. 2 at 3.99 ea.)
1 Playskool Baby wipes (3.29) (CVS Brand - Filler item)

Coupons
2 -1.00 off Colgate 360

1 -1.00 off Aquafresh

1 -1.00 off Playskool Wipes.

1 -3.00 off 10.00 CVS Brand purchase
1 -3.00 off 15.00

Received: 10.97 in ECB

Order #2 (Monthly ECB Deal)-----------------------

2 Aquafresh Advance Toothpaste (2.99 ea.)
1 Colgate 360 toothbrush (3.99)
2 milk (2.79 ea) (Filler item)
1 CVS Toddler Wipes (Filler item) (1.49)

Coupons
1 -1.00 off Colgate 360
2 -1.00 off Aquafresh
1 -3.00 off 15.00

10.97 ECB from previous purchase
.07 Cash
Received: 9.97 ECB

Order #3 (Monthly ECB Deal)--------------------

1 Milk (2.79)

Coupons
1 -3.00 off 10 CVS
1 -3.00 off 15.00

9.97 ECB from previous purchase
.77 Cash
Received 8.37 ECB + 5.58 Gift Card (13.95 Total) Explanation below!

-----------------------------------------------------------
According to the May ECB book, there is a limit of 3 on the Orapicks but there were no books out at my store. So I was going by the label on the counter and it said a limit of 5. The manager wasn't too happy about it but he gave me a gift card for the 5.58 I should have received. You could throw another CVS item in the deal instead of the Orapicks - like the 3.79 Non-drowsy Allergy relief, which gives you 3.79 in ECBs.

The deal would look like this:

3 Orapick (2.79 ea)
1 CVS Allergy relief (3.79)
4.00 in filler item(s) you need!

1 -3.00 off 10.00 CVS brand purchase
1 -3.00 off 15.00

9.97 ECB
.19 (+ maybe a little tax money) Cash
Receive 12.16 ECB

I need a few other things (for free!) so I'm going to work on a few more deals with the items I didn't get tonight!
